ESARQ School of Architecture designs the Citizens' Initiative Pavilion at the International Expo in Zaragoza

Architect and ESARQ School of Architecture professor Ignasi Pérez Arnal won the public request for bids to design this sustainable pavilion at the 2008 International Expo in Zaragoza. It is shaped like a Spanish botijo or drinking vessel and made of straw, clay and bamboo.

The UIC brings science to students, thanks to collaboration with Escolab

The UIC offered the practical lab class "What Kind of Research Goes on in a Microbiology Lab?" to a group of students at Cardenal Spínola School. The aim of the initiative is to make students in secondary and vocational-training school aware of everyday science.

This book by humanities professor Alexandra Guzmán is the result of her in-depth research on manuscripts from the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries held at libraries and archives in Catalonia with information on archaeology, ancient history and inscriptions.

Jordi Lucea describes his vision of the radio at the UIC

The head of news programmes at Catalunya Ràdio spoke to journalism students on Tuesday, 29 April 2008. He defined the objectives of the radio and gave some advice to the future journalists.
