The Universitat Internacional de Catalunya gives students the opportunity to personalise their degree course by following distinct academic pathways. These involve a specialisation in areas of law which are in great demand in the job market, such as business law, human resources and family law.
By choosing to follow one of these courses, the student obtains a degree in law as well as a diploma in their area of specialisation. This is a qualification which is unique to the University and which demonstrates the student’s expertise in their respective field.
The diplomas offered by the UIC are:
The DIB is a diploma designed to provide a good, solid grounding in international business. By following this academic pathway, the student can develop a general overview of businesses and the key factors in their internationalisation, as well as all the legal aspects related to international business.
The DRH is a diploma aimed at students who would like to specialise in the management of people. Knowledge of law is not enough on its own to enable someone to flourish in this sector. It is often necessary to receive training in certain aspects of business, human relations, psychology and group dynamics.
The DFL is a diploma aimed at students of law who are concerned about or interested in the reality of family life, and who intend to follow careers related to this particular field. These include, among others, family solicitors, family mediators and social workers. The diploma develops the student's knowledge of the legal aspects of the family institution, whilst also providing other subjects which approach the reality of the family unit from different perspectives.
