The UIC Barcelona Champions League is the University's internal 7-a-side football tournament. It begins in October and finishes at the end of May. One match is played per week. This year, we’ll divide the league into two stages: the regular league and the cup.
Timetable
Matches are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. and from 10:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
The team captain must register and pay online before 16 October. Places are limited and are assigned in strict order of registration. Participants cannot exceed 12 players per team.
The competition is aimed at UIC Barcelona students, employees and Alumni, although each team is allowed to sign up a maximum of three people who are not members of university.
Price
€350 per team for registration and a deposit of €100, which will be returned when the league ends if no sanctions have been passed.
Prize
The winning team will win a gift voucher for the travel agency Viajes El Corte Inglés worth €1,500 to be collected at the End of Year Party. What’s more, you will be awarded 1 ECTS credit if you attend all the matches of the championship. Remember to show your ID card or passport to the referee before the start of each match.
