The principal aim of the UIC's degree course in Dentistry is to produce professionals who are capable of preventing, treating and curing oral health disorders with a level of both discretion and technical skill.
More specifically, the degree is focused on developing students' knowledge of the buccodental anatomy and functions (in relation to the rest of the body), and of the biomechanics of both healthy and unhealthy dental structures, as well as the use of modern, pioneering procedures and techniques for the treatment of oral infections.
Practical training in the early years of this course helps to introduce students to the dentist-patient relationship, which forms the backbone of dental care.
