ESI-rg aims to providing outcomes related to the evaluation of intangible assets in professional sport competitions. This research group has developed its own procedures to capture the level of prestige, public attraction and mass media exposure that individuals and teams drawn from the general public. We call this measure "Media Value", a notion which is linked to the status of sport stars and superstars.
In spite of the fact that this concept is supposed to be something difficult to measure, ESI-rg has devised a quantitative and homogeneous index of Media Value for each individual sport player. The homogeneous nature of the ranking enables us to provide fully comparable records of Media Value for sport players and teams.
