The Department of Educational Sciences comprises diplomas in Pre-school and Primary School Teacher Education. The department is responsible for the organisation, coordination and development of both research and teaching, working within the respective areas of knowledge.
With this criterion, the Department of Educational Sciences gathers together teaching and research staff from one or more of the distinct scientific, technical or humanistic disciplines.
Since the 2004-2005 academic year the Department of Education has run a pilot test involving the adaptation of study courses to meet the EEES guidelines, established in Bologna.
