The Computer Engineering Systems Degree (ETIS) at the UIC prepares students for effective involvement in company infrastructures, teams, and information networks. Students are trained in network and system selection, installation, monitoring, adjustment, maintenance, control and security. ETIS engineers will learn to master operating systems and network management, as well as other types of basic software that serve to manage and govern the resources under their control.
The UIC ETIS degree requires a total of 225 credits, to be completed over the course of three years, divided into 75 credits a year, or roughly 25 credits per trimester. The credits comprise core, required and elective courses designed specifically for this degree.
