If you are in your second year of upper secondary education (arts, humanities and social sciences, sciences or technology), you may submit a research project.
Prospective students
Students in their second year of upper secondary education (arts, humanities and social sciences, sciences or technology), who submitted their upper secondary education research project during the academic year indicated in each call, are eligible to participate.
Competition guidelines
Competition stages, panels and assessment criteria
To assess the submitted projects, evaluation panels will be created based on the subject matter or topics presented in the projects. The panels will be made up of lecturers from UIC Barcelona's various faculties.

The list of projects chosen to be presented orally before the panels will be published on the UIC Barcelona website.
First stage
27 February 2021
Oral presentation of the selected projects, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Barcelona campus.
The shortlist of finalists will be announced within a maximum period of 10 days and the parties concerned will be informed via email.
Final
9 April 2021
Final oral presentations, 3 to 7:30 p.m. The prizes will be awarded following the panel's deliberations.
Oral presentations will be held in public and both the first-stage and final presentations are open to the general public, subject to the room's maximum seating capacity. Due to the restrictions in place for COVID-19, seating may be limited.

A study grant covering the 100% of the cost of the first year of any degree programme at UIC Barcelona during the 2020-2021 academic year for the top ten contestants. Only one GRANT will be awarded per degree programme.
The competition prize or prizes will be those published in each call.
