Acupuncture is a therapeutic technique that forms part of traditional Chinese medicine. It has become a fully recognised technique internationally as a complement to the therapeutic resources offered by Western medicine.
This technique increasingly forms part of the services provided at health centres. In addition, within pain units at large hospitals, acupuncture plays a fundamental role in therapeutic treatments and has been shown to be highly effective.
It is for all of these reasons that the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya believes in the importance of promoting this discipline and the potential benefits it offers. The training provided follows a scientific focus, enabling professionals working in the field of health to approach clinical practice with a new perspective.
On completion of the training, students who are interested may request accreditation from the Register of Acupuncture Physiotherapists from the School of Physiotherapists of Catalonia, an organisation which covers civil liability for those who practise this profession.
