In compliance with the LOPD 15/1999 (Spanish Personal Data Protection Law) and the LSSI-CE 34/2002 (Spanish Information Society Services and E-Commerce Law), we INFORM all users that any personal details provided, including e-mail addresses, which are necessary for formalisation processes, administrative purposes and the execution and development of a working relationship between the user and the UNIVERSITAT INTERNACIONAL DE CATALUNYA, a private foundation (from hereon UIC), will be incorporated into an automated file which will remain the property and responsibility of the UIC.
On supplying one’s personal data and e-mail address to the UIC, the user expressly AUTHORISES its use for the purposes of managing a working relationship with the University, expressly including communications sent by e-mail which the UIC or other entities pertaining to the UIC carry out with the purpose of informing users of activities or news, courses and programmes, etc., as well as for any services or products offered relating to the institutional activity carried out.
The UIC has a webpage available via Internet as well as a number of publications (including but not limited to magazines, information dossiers, brochures, prospectuses, presentations, newsletters, etc.) in which it promotes or provides information about its educational activities and all complementary activities which form part of its institutional objective (from hereon these will be referred to as “Dissemination and Information Tools”).
The UIC Dissemination and Information Tools usually contain images which show, or may show, students, users, employees and future affiliates of the UIC, either individually or as a group, taking part in any of the activities previously cited.
As a consequence, and according to the rights concerning the use of one’s image stipulated in article 18.1 of the Spanish Constitution, regulated by Law 5/1982 of 5 May, guaranteeing the right to honour, personal and family privacy and control of one’s own image, and in accordance with that stated in the Organic Law 15/1999 governing the Protection of Personal Data, subscribers grant the UIC express permission to publish, edit, use, distribute, reproduce and/or use for communication purposes, by way of any of its Dissemination and Information Tools, regardless of format and in an unlimited manner, the photographs/images which show clearly identifiable individuals or groups in relation to the teaching activities and complementary activities which form part of the institutional objective of the UIC.
In addition, the user gives their express permission to enable these photographs/images, which the UIC treats as being data of a personal nature, to be incorporated into an automated file held by and belonging to the UIC, and for which all the necessary technical and organisational measures will be taken to guarantee its security and confidentiality in order to avoid any alteration, loss, treatment or non-authorised access to this personal data.
The user will be able to exercise their right to access, rectification, cancellation and opposition with regard to their personal data by writing to the e-mail address datos@uic.es, and requesting: (a) that the personal data included on the UIC files is sent, by the same means, for the purposes of consultation or rectification, or (b) that this data is cancelled or that authorisation for the receipt of communications is withdrawn, through notification to the UIC of the effective rectification or cancellation of the personal data included on the file.
