The epistemology of nursing

Is nursing a social science? Does it belong to the field of natural sciences? Does it fall into both categories? Is it an applied science or, on the contrary, a practical science? Can we consider the possibility of building nursing knowledge from a transdisciplinary perspective?

The aim of this research line is to deepen the nature, structure and rationality on which nursing knowledge is based, as well as study its development and implications for the professional practice. This research line also includes analysis of the theoretical and methodological perspectives required to access the disciplinary knowledge of nursing.
