The 4th edition of the Challenge of Learning conference cycle that will be held from November 2008 to June 2009 aims to investigate mythology as a symbolic approach to learning about the most profound topics related to human nature and destiny.
'GAMES: Between Strategy and Tactics' is the title of this year's Vertical Workshop organized by the ESARQ School of Architecture. Architecture students in their second and fifth years are grouped together to work on practical exercises during this workshop held a week before classes start. The workshop will end with an awards ceremony on Friday, 3 October 2008.
The number of applications received from people interested in attending the UIC has increased compared with last year. A total of 1900 applications have been received thus far this year, compared with 1450 received during the same period last year, i.e. a 30% increase.
The UIC service group University Students with Solidarity provides suggestions on how students can spend the summer in a different way by helping people in need. Suggested activities include participating in different work camps and doing volunteer work in different parts of the world.
The UIC and the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala are organizing the 1st International Dentistry Congress in Guatemala. The congress will be held from 6 to 9 August 2008 with the participation of twenty experts in different areas of knowledge in dentistry.
