Why at UIC

The main goal of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) is to provide a service to society by offering personalised university training based on an international mindset, alongside a strong commitment to research.

Personalised treatment is ensured by the relatively low number of students on each course, meaning classes take place in small groups with a university professor designated to every eight students.

The training is predominantly focused above all on their professional development. The aim is to foster the development of key skills to enable students to adapt to the new challenges of today’s society. With this in mind, most of the teaching staff have professional backgrounds and the University works very closely with businesses through the work experience programmes.

This relationship allows students to benefit from high-quality work experience programmes in reputable organisations. These programmes help to provide students with a springboard to their professional careers.

At the same time, the international mindset of the UIC allows students to master different languages in a professional environment, to study part of their degree in other countries and to participate in work experience programmes overseas.
